Tony is one in an elite group of Puerto Rican Tres players that defined the 1970's New York City conjunto sound.

To his credit are performances and recordings with Celia Cruz, Pete "El Conde" Rodriguez, Justo Betancourt, Conjunto Candela, Mongito El Unico, Rafy Santi, Los Kimbos, Conjunto Criollo.

His playing evokes memories of the great tres players of our time, Tuto Feliciano, Nino Rivera and Arsenio Rodriguez. 

His Uncle and Percussion master Orestes Vilato was instrumental in introducing the tres to Tony.  Naturally he is also a solid guitar player and a custom guitar craftsman. He is building the rare Puerto Rican nine string tres and also the Cuban tres in several styles. Check out Tony's Tres Guitar Page for more info.
